Antonia M. Stimac

1911-1998

Mrs. Stimac was born on April 10, 1911, in Croatia, Germany.  She had three brothers and two sisters.   Her school was a one room school in Croatia, where the popular clothes were dresses.  The games she played were hopscotch and bingo.

She was a really good licensed practical nurse. She liked to garden and supply the church with flowers, and drink hot tea.  Her favorite bands were polka and waltz, and her favorite music was “Lawrence Welk”, a radio show. To see a movie cost ten cents. Her favorite memory was coming to America. Her worst memories were World Wars I and II and the Great Depression.

Antonia married Anton Stimac in1929.  Anton died in 1952, and then she married Joseph Stimac.  Joseph died in 1981. Mrs. Stimac   remained a widow after that.   She died on April 3, 1998, seven days before her birthday.
